Making stuff makes the world better.
Creatives create. I’ve published stories. Taken photos. Designed logos, t-shirts, and posters for fun and profit.
And I’ve captured and written and created many more things difficult to catalog but always worthwhile.
stories
I’ve got a master’s degree in creative writing. It sounds a little frivolous, but it’s probably done more for my professional success than anything else.
Over the years, I’ve published stories in a handful of journals and magazines in the U.S. and beyond.
photos
For a while, it seemed like every creative I met was also a photographer. I’m not, but I like to take pictures.
posters
Posters are fun. The medium is static and there are no rules. They exist less and less in the wild these days, but I hope we keep making them anyway.
A lot of these are from a ridiculous thing a colleague and I invented — out of creative boredom — called The Crazy Zone!? What it was was a semi-formal excuse to start drinking at 3 pm in the office.
Some others are from a thing colleagues from a different company and I started called Stock the Bar. Which was exactly what it sounds like. Everyone would bring a bottle of liquor to the office, and then we’d drink them.
It sounds like I have a drinking problem, but what all this is about is keeping people happy and motivated.
